About Courage...
Courage is a 4 week old black Labradoodle puppy. Unfortunately, he was born with a cleft palate, making it impossible for him to nurse like his littermates. He may also be blind in one or both eyes, but its a little to early to tell as of now. Courage is very lucky, as he has a foster mommy who bottle feeds him every 3-4 hours. When he is 5 months old, he will need surgery to correct his cleft palate, so he can live his life like a "normal" dog. We are currently asking for donations to help off-set the cost of his surgery, which can be very expensive. Luckily, we have two great organizations, Karma Rescue and DawgSquad Animal Rescue, who are going to help us network and fundraise for our little Courage. The volunteers at Karma and DawgSquad are also going to help us find the vet that will do the best job at his surgery, and we're doing our best to work out a negotiated price, as the surgery can cost up to $4000! If you can find it in your heart (and checkbooks) to donate, it would be greatly appreciated. Please help us give this little survivor the chance at life that he deserves and is desperately fighting for.
